The Artistry Of NLP Coaching: Advanced Optimisation Patterns (Practitioner Level & Above)
Communicating With The Other Mind:
Trance has been utilised by all cultures since time immemorial and has long been associated with magic. Indeed, looking at today’s cultures worldwide, it could be said that Trance is the most common form of medicine in existence, applied to a wide range of conditions still considered untreatable by Western medicine. Even in the Western world, studies show that the Placebo Effect is responsible for a significant share of the healing process. And what does that involve, if not suggestion?
All people experience Trance, yes, even you! And seeking to access trance states is something we all do. And yet, partly owing to the mystique which some practitioners of the art seek to accompany themselves with, at least in our culture, it is also a state both desired and dreaded.
A marvellous polarity responder, Richard Bandler himself likes to say that he was drawn to study hypnosis because people told him that: “It’s Baaad!” AND “It doesn’t exist!”
Many myths surround the phenomenon of Trance, often reinforced by the mass media, such as that of manipulating people against their will.
However, reality is more subtle and yet more interesting than all the tales we read or hear about.
People think Trance is an altered state. What if the actuality was far simpler? If so, what could it be?
And what would you like to do to build on your realisation?
As past experience has demonstrated, exploring trance patterns from an NLP perspective will enable even experienced hypnotherapists who attend to enjoy learning something new and exciting.
