MODULAR COACHING PRACTITIONER TRAINING FROM A NEURO-SEMANTICS © PERSPECTIVE: ADVANCED COMMUNICATING & THINKING SKILLS
Harrogate General Hospital
The 4 Pillars of NLP
RAPPORT,
or to communicate effectively
ACUITY OF PERCEPTION,
or to make the most of the information we receive
ORIENTATION TOWARDS OUTCOME,
to best identify what we want and act upon this knowledge
FLEXIBILITY OF BEHAVIOUR,
to easily adapt to changing circumstances
Derived from SYSTEMS THEORY, NLP expects that we operate systemically: we create systems with other people and are ourselves made of systems.
By being aware of these systems, we ensure that communication flows effectively between all their components ( this is known as Intra-Personal and Inter-Personal Intelligence).
Thus you become aware of the implications and consequences of our own behaviour, both short-term and long-term, in relation to all aspects of our own, and also in relation to other people. In other terms, you behave with ECOLOGY.
You also can seek and reach consensus, harmony, agreement between all the components of a given system, so that everybody gains and nobody loses and respond to all situations with integrity. We call this CONGRUENCE.
For the past 30 years NLP has proved itself many times in the areas of team building, management, mediation, partnership guidance and conflict resolution. It is the ideal tool of choice in all professions where communicating effectively is at a premium.
So, if you honestly intend to put your resolutions into practice instead of dreaming forever of pie in the sky, if you want to learn to 'run your own brain' to make the difference which makes the difference in your life, NLP is for you.
